A land of wines with character
The Zona Media of Navarra is one of the oldest wine-producing regions in Spain, with wineries that have been making wine since Roman times. The D.O. Navarra produces powerful reds with Garnacha and Tempranillo, exceptional rosés (considered among the best in the world) and fresh whites with Chardonnay and Viura.
Near Iturrieta you'll find wineries such as Castillo de Enériz offering guided tours through their vineyards and cellars, commented tastings and pairings with local produce. In Olite, the Enozentrum (wine culture centre) is an essential visit to understand the relationship between wine and the land of Navarra.
