The Water Paradise
The Nacedero del Urederra is one of the most spectacular natural wonders of Navarra. Located in the Urbasa-Andía Natural Park, the River Urederra ('beautiful water' in Basque) springs from the heart of the mountain range through a spectacular waterfall cascading from 700 metres altitude. The intense turquoise colour of its waters, caused by the dissolution of limestone rock, creates a fairytale landscape.
The 6.5 km linear route (return) runs alongside the river through centuries-old beech forests, with multiple pools and cascades of crystal-clear water. It is an easy trail suitable for families, although the terrain can be slippery. Important: booking a parking space in advance on the park's website is mandatory, especially on weekends.
